New York State Breast and Cervical Cancer Detection and Education Program Advisory Council

Section 2407 of the Public Health Law authorizes a 21 member Breast and Cervical Cancer Detection and Education Program Advisory Council (Council). Originally, this Council was created to address breast cancer detection and education. In 2005, the law was revised to expand the role of the Council to also address cervical cancer. The Council meets three times each year to provide ideas and input on the activities of the New York State Department of Health breast and cervical cancer early detection program.
