Tips for Resident Success

  • Adequate preparation in setting up the environment is very important.
  • Strive to maintain consistency in Breakfast Club membership and staff, at least at first.
  • Guests may be invited to join the group from time to time, usually not more than two. Do not allow staff members or others to observe the group from behind, as this is very distracting, upsetting and disrespectful to the group.
  • Keep it simple: remember the primary purpose of the program is to encourage language use, not to prepare a 5-star breakfast!
