|Minimum Qualifications||NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Plant Utilities Engineer 1 (G14) and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.|
|Responsibilities||The incumbent will operate, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment providing heat, hot water, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical distribution in a safe and efficient manner.|
|Conditions of Employment||Permanent, full-time appointments. These are shift positions. Currently, the shifts being filled are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Saturday/Sunday pass days; 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with Sunday/Monday pass days; and 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with Wednesday/Thursday pass days. Shifts will be assigned in accordance with Articles 44 and 50 of the CSEA/OSU contract. Since exposure to potentially hazardous substances may be involved in these position, the candidates who accept the positions may be required to wear personal protective equipment, undergo pre-employment and periodic health evaluations, and receive specific immunizations.|
