|Minimum Qualifications||New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Clerk 2, SG-9; OR a NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title at or above a G-9 and deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. (Some transfer candidates will be required to take and pass a Civil Service keyboarding test in order to qualify for appointment).|
|Preferred Qualifications||The preferred candidate will have proficiency using personal computers, including Lotus Notes and Word; strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks in a busy atmosphere. The preferred candidate must have the ability and desire to work as a member of a team in planning and implementing work related activities. The preferred candidate must have good communication and phone skills.|
|Responsibilities||Within the Division of Legal Affairs, NY State of Health Counsel, Bureau of Appeals, the incumbent of this position will provide support by assisting with clerical tasks required for the management of evidence introduced at hearings which include: review, log and disseminate incoming mail; establish new files by numbering forms, coding, preparing file folders, compiling relevant material; updating and correcting records and files; file, retrieve and charge out records using one or more filing systems, which may be either manual or computer based.|
