|Minimum Qualifications||Current Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Keyboard Specialist 2, or any NYS employee with one year of permanent of contingent-permanent service in a G-7 or higher title eligible for transfer To KBS2 under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.|
|Preferred Qualifications||Fluent with Microsoft Word and Excel software; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments with good attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.|
|Responsibilities||Working in the Bureau of Tuberculosis Control, the incumbent will provide secretarial support for approximately five professional staff. Duties will include: preparing letters, memos, and reports; creating and maintaining spreadsheets; assisting in preparing contract materials and contractor site visit packets: answering phones; scheduling conference calls and staff meetings; maintaining professional staff calendars; making travel arrangements and preparing travel expense records; ordering office supplies and educational materials; managing local, regional, and mass mailings; photocopying; maintaining the office filing system; and providing back-up to office support staff.|
