|Minimum Qualifications||Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator, G-18; OR New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a Grade 18 title or currently serving in an Administrative traineeship and eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator trainee under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law; OR current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a qualified title and eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator trainee under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title G-11 or above, possessing a Bachelors degree and eligible to transfer to Health Program Administrator trainee under section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.|
|Preferred Qualifications||Experience in program and contract management; ability to work with a diverse group of professionals implementing Medicaid Redesign Team Initiatives regarding Medicaid Transportation to medical services; ability to analyze information and data; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments; some knowledge of Medicaid services and health care payment methodologies; ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel applications.|
|Responsibilities||The incumbent will be actively engaged with the Medicaid Transportation group to implement the Department's Medicaid transportation policies, including a major Medicaid Redesign Team initiative regarding the State's takeover of the administration of transportation management from the counties. Duties may include analyzing Medicaid transportation policy and fiscal issues, communicating with interested parties and stakeholders regarding Medicaid transportation policy, bringing issues to resolution, and monitoring of program activities and contract deliverables.|
