| Minimum Qualifications | Current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent permanent service as a Senior Internal Auditor; OR one year of permanent or contingent permanent service as a Senior Accountant, Senior Auditor, Senior Examiner Municipal Affairs, State Program Examiner 1; State Program Examiner 1 Fiscal or Tax Auditor 1 and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR one year of permanent or contingent permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 16 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. |
| Preferred Qualifications | Three years of experience conducting internal audits or program research, review and appraisal in a health insurance related program. |
| Responsibilities | The incumbents of these positions will serve as members of a team of internal auditors. Specific duties will include: examine source documents, records and reports related to the operation of the Health Benefit Exchange; evaluate and appraise Exchange operations for compliance with established policies and procedures, including those required by federal law and regulation; conduct detailed review of the system of management controls related to the collection, aggregation and distribution of premiums for the Small Business Health Operations Program; perform detailed review of performance and outcome metrics related to the Exchange; prepare reports and recommendations; and recommend corrective action, when necessary. |
