|Minimum Qualifications||Nine (9) years professional experience in Information Technology. At least five (5) years professional experience in design, development, implementation of production-level servers. At least five (5) years professional experience managing a team in the planning, developing, testing, and implementing of production-level servers. At least five (5) years professional experience in directing performance measurements and performance tuning for production-level servers. At least five (5) years professional experience load balancing network and application servers; Experience developing and prioritizing goals, implementing programs, and allocating resources.|
|Preferred Qualifications||Nine (9) years professional experience in Information Technology managing a team with responsibility for systems analysis and application development activities or technical infrastructure activities operating with a great deal of independence. Demonstrated ability to develop and understand complex oral and written instructions and to read and understand technical literature.|
|Responsibilities||The incumbent of this position will report directly to the Project Director, M-5 and will have responsibility for overseeing the technical operational aspects of the NY-HX. This includes all hardware, software and technical infrastructure in support of the design, development and implementation of the NY-HX. The Project Coordinator also manages activities of the NY-HX Technical Architecture team. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Manages the acquisition, implementation and operation of all hardware and software required by the NY-HX; Acts as the Department's focal point regarding technical issues and concerns; Primary technical contact with the contractors; Manages all change control over the NY-HX configuration; Manages the system performance tuning, improvements and balancing; Directs the planning, design and implementation of the technical aspects of the NY-HX;Monitors SOA and MITA compliance; Monitors the SOA technology platform upon which SOA services are built; Ensures functionality is integrated with other applications. Oversee and direct staff in the definition and implementation of the technical system environment to assure it meets the information processing needs of the NY-HX. Develop policies and procedures to ensure that all information needs are met.|
