|Minimum Qualifications||Bachelor's degree and three years of progressively responsible experience in community organizing, public speaking and outreach.|
|Preferred Qualifications||Knowledge of Medicaid, Family Health Plus and Child Health Plus enrollment rules and coverage policies; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.|
|Responsibilities||The incumbent of this position will help lead the development, implementation and evaluation of public awareness, outreach and local enrollment efforts in target communities in New York City. Responsibilities include planning and conducting activities in NYC to increase public awareness of New York's health insurance programs for children and families, including community forums, stakeholder meetings, outreach events, mailings, placement of articles in community newsletters and other appropriate outlets; identifying State and community based organizations, leaders, health and human services providers, key stakeholders and other agencies that work with children and families in New York City and reaching out to engage them as partners in the Campaign; providing supervision, guidance and direction to the New York City Project Coordinators involved in the Campaign; working closely with the Project Coordinators in helping to engage community partners and assisting them in the design and implementation of strategies to identify eligible children and adults and develop processes to link them to facilitated enrollment programs located in the community; developing customized training for the staff of the organizations engaged in the Campaign on New York's public health insurance programs on how to develop effective outreach and enrollment strategies and programs; assisting the Project Coordinators in creating and fostering linkages between community partners, facilitated enrollers and Local Departments of Social Services; developing and conducting workshops, presentations and trainings for service providers, community groups, parents and others on New York's public health insurance programs; monitoring the implementation and outcomes of NYC Campaign efforts; and completing monthly reports.|
