Minimum Qualifications Current NYS employee with at least one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Manager of Information Technology Services 1, G-27 OR in a title at or above G-25 and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Medicaid benefit programs and processing requirements, HIPPA regulations, system development lifecycle, integration testing techniques and procedures. Minimum of two years of management experience in a systems environment. Five years of system design and/or development experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities The incumbent of this position will be responsible for the coordination of activities in support of Upstate Medicaid Eligibility processing systems. This entails management of design and development staff/contractors activities to ensure the Medicaid Eligibility and support systems continue to meet legislative and legal mandates. Specific duties include oversight of the design, development, maintenance, testing and implementation of systems changes and the coordination of integration activities between the various systems.
