Radon Reporting Requirements
What data is required?
Radon Testing Firms
Part 16 of the New York State Sanitary Code requires Zip Code or County (alternate requirement) and number of measurements.
Data the radon program would like to collect for programmatic purposes:
- Town or City
- Measurement activity (pCi/L)
- Measurement location (i.e. basement or 1st floor)
- Date(s) of measurement
Radon Mitigators
Part 16 of the New York State Sanitary Code requires Zip Code or County (alternate requirement) and number of mitigations.
Data the radon program would like to collect for programmatic purposes:
- Town or City
- Initial radon concentration (pCi/L)
- Type of building or house (i.e., residential--ranch, 2-story colonial, etc. or commercial--school, apartment building, etc.)
- Type of mitigation system installed. For example, active subslab depressurized (ASD), radon resistant new construction (RRNC), crawl space depressurization (CSD), depressurization/air to air heat exchanger, block wall depressurization (BWD), submembrane depressurization (SMD)
- Date of the mitigation
- Post mitigation radon concentration (pCi/L)
How do you report your data?
Preferred formats are either a text file (comma delimited) or Excel '97 or an earlier release. For other formats, call for assistance (518) 402-7556.
