Cash Receipts Assessment Program

Dear Administrator/Controller:

This letter is to advise you of program changes made pursuant to Chapter 58 of the Laws of 2007. The .35% Health Facility Cash Receipts Assessment Program for general hospitals licensed under Article 28 of the Public Health Law (PHL) has expired on March 31, 2007. The previously authorized assessment collection caps for the April 1, 2005, through March 31, 2007, periods however, were retroactively repealed and will have no force or effect on collections paid and/or due for such periods.

Your last monthly remittance for March 2007 was due on April 16, 2007. Please be advised that any outstanding delinquencies for applicable assessment months will be shortly billed and will include mandated interest and penalty required for any late payments.
