Single Source Procurement: Provide Pharmaceuticals to the Onondaga Indian Nation

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The New York State Department of Health has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to temporarily extend a contract with Eckerd Corporation, C020097. The contract provides pharmaceuticals to the Onondaga Indian Nation.

Eckerd Corporation was awarded a contract as a result of Single Source contract. This is a nine-month extension of the contract under the same terms, conditions, and pricing authorized under the existing contract. The Single Source extension period will allow for the continuation of critical services pending the anticipated transition of the services to the EPIC Program. Due to the short timeframe anticipated for the completion of the transition of services, a competitive procurement was not feasible.
