Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.
The New York State Department of Health has made a determination to issue a Single Source contract to the Island Peer Review Organization, C025664, to provide necessary and critical infection control reviews in nursing homes and hospitals. A competitive procurement was not feasible due the organization's current and similar function with the Department and short timeframe to commence work due to the H1N1 flu.
