- Federal Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program Information
- The Health Home initiative does not have direct funds to support adoption of Health Information Technology (HIT) and Electronic Health Records (EHR), but certain practitioners may qualify for funds available under the federal EHR HIT Incentive Program. The goal of the program is to promote the adoption and use of HIT and EHR by Medicare and Medicaid providers. Total incentives per practitioner can be as much as $63,750 under Medicaid, and $44,000 under Medicare.
- The program is administered by the HHS Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and more information may be found at http://www.cms.gov/EHRIncentivePrograms. For Medicaid specific questions about EHR incentives to be distributed through New York Medicaid, you may submit your questions to hit@health.state.ny.us.
