NYPHRM Task Force Schedules Public Hearings

Albany, October 11 --- The Governor's Ad Hoc Task Force on New York's Prospective Hospital Reimbursement Methodology (NYPHRM) will hold a series of four hearings to solicit input into their deliberations.

The task force, which is chaired by State Health Commissioner Barbara A. DeBuono, M.D., is charged with studying the current hospital reimbursement system, known as NYPHRM and recommending options to the Governor for new approaches to succeed NYPHRM when the current methodology expires next June 30.

The task force is to report to the Governor on ways for the state to transition from NYPHRM to a system focused on promotion of the delivery of health care services in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Persons or groups wishing to speak at the public hearing must sign in with the registration table and the presentations will be in the order in which they signed up. Public comments are limited to five minutes. If you are unable to attend the hearings, written testimony may also be submitted. Please submit a single copy to:
