Batavia Home Administrator Announced
Albany, May 7, 1999 – Acting State Health Commissioner Dennis Whalen today announced the appointment of Joanne I. Hernick of Penfield, New York as the administrator of the New York State Veterans Home at Batavia. Ms. Hernick was chosen from among a large field of highly qualified candidates following a statewide search and an extensive selection process.
Ms. Hernick most recently served as the Associate Executive Health Director of the Monroe Community Hospital, a 566–bed residential health care facility in Rochester, NY. She has extensive long term care experience with a focus on rehabilitation services and on strategic planning.
Ms. Hernick will assume her position on May 10, 1999.
