MEDIA ADVISORY: Public Forum - Peninsula Hospital
ALBANY, N.Y (May 4, 2012) – The New York State Department of Health (DOH) will hold a public forum to solicit public comments regarding health care services in the Far Rockaway/Queens community following the closure of Peninsula Hospital.
The meeting will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 333 Beach 90th St, Rockaway Beach, NY 11693.
In order to ensure the forum runs smoothly and all attendees are given the opportunity to speak, the following guidelines have been developed:
- There will be a sign-in sheet for all attendees.
- Anyone who would like to speak will be assigned a number. Numbers will be called in order and each speaker will have five minutes to address the forum. If time permits, individuals will be given a second opportunity to speak for five minutes.
- Written comments will be accepted.
Public comments will not be addressed during the meeting; however, the DOH will issue a report within 60 days following the forum that addresses public comments received.
