HIV Training Assistants

HIV Training Assistants are involved in developing educational programs as governed by the HIV Clinical Education Initiative through New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute. This is a technical and paraprofessional position responsible for assisting in all phases of HIV/AIDS training, including record keeping, developing training materials, assisting HIV counselors with pre/post test counseling services and recruiting, training and supervising peer educators.

Education required:

HIV Training Assistants can have a bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or health related field or four years of professional or technical human service experience which involved education, counseling or treatment of individuals with medical illness and at least one year of which included HIV/AIDS work responsibilities.
