Carol Mohler is involved in communicable disease surveillance and maternal child case management and was responsible for the creation of the Lead Poisoning Prevention Network (LPPN) workgroup. With her leadership, the LPPN amended the local Sanitary Code to include Exterior Paint Removal Guidelines. Ms. Mohler's achievements include vaccinating residents during a meningitis outbreak, assuring safe storage of vaccines during power outages, providing her expertise during outbreaks of suspect SARS, cryptosporidia, pertussis and mumps, and training veterinary students on the importance of hand washing and gloves wearing .
