Kathleen Henry

Kathleen Henry began working at the Rockland County Health Department as a Public Health Administrator, after a successful career in nursing and nursing administration. In her current position as Deputy Health Commissioner, she oversees day–to-day operations, and assists in the development and implementation of programs and policies. Utilizing her outstanding facilitation skills, Ms. Henry leads the monthly Public Health Priorities Steering Committee meetings, whose participation list includes other county departments and community agencies, with the purpose to conduct community health assessments and strategic planning. Ms. Henry formed and leads the county Public Health Preparedness Committee, with participation from local government, hospitals, law enforcement and other community agencies. Under her guidance, the department achieved recognition from the national Project Public Ready program in 2007.
