Rosetta Menifee

Rosetta Menifee is a HIV Training Assistant, serves as the Co-Vice President of the local Ryan White Care Network, is a board member of the New York State HIV Prevention Planning Group and a member of the local planning group for the New York State Faith Based Projects. Ms. Menifee is in high demand from other agencies and frequently presents at a national level, and her efforts are recognized by many as she has won numerous awards. Locally, she speaks with many diverse groups on public health issues such as HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and other sensitive topics. The notes and evaluations sent in by high school students indicate that she has a positive impact on them. Ms. Menifee also leads a team of outreach workers who go into the community and engage individuals who are marginalized from society, such as drug users and the mentally ill, and directs them to the health and human service systems of care. Her understanding of the underserved makes her a true asset to the public health community.
