Kathy Percacciolo, Supervising Public Health Nurse, has been a strong public health advocate and an impressive role model during her 29 years at the Putnam County Health Department. Kathy started her career in 1982 as a community home health care nurse and today she oversees numerous public health programs, including communicable disease, immunization, tuberculosis, STDs and maternal/child health. She has a creative vision for all programs and allows her employees to rise to their potential.

Kathy has also played an integral part in developing Point of Dispensing (POD) clinics in Putnam County that were established as a way to mass immunize or dispense medication to a community during a public health emergency. She wrote the policy and procedure for these clinics which have been successfully trialed on many occasions with Kathy acting as the POD manager. Kathy also spearheaded the "Vote and Vax" campaign, which encourages residents to get vaccinated at clinics held on Election Day each year.
