Barbara Roszak, Director, Preventive Health Services

Barbara has been a public health nurse for the past 28 years. She was promoted to Director of Quality Assurance in 2005 and to the position of Director of Preventive Health Services in 2008. She has been instrumental in developing departmental policies to assure that staff performs public health activities reflective of current best practice standards. She oversees several programs within Ontario County Public Health, including Rabies, Cancer Services, Immunization and Emergency Preparedness.

Barbara is an outstanding teacher and coach of public health nurses and helps develop their skills in promoting public health initiatives. She has reached out to community stakeholders and has led consortia aimed at collaborating to improve the health of our county residents. She is recognized by her peers as an expert public health resource and graduated in May 2013 with a Master of Public Health degree from Walden University. She demonstrates public health leadership and is well deserving of recognition on the Public Health Honor Roll.
