The team members of the Montgomery County Public Health Preventive Services strive to provide the highest quality services to the residents of the County in their approach to individuals, targeted groups, or in working with communities. They emphasize team work in conducting communicable disease outbreak investigations and immunization clinics, providing blood lead testing, car seat safety and education as well as maternal home health guidance and education. MCPH Preventive Services staff members emphasize public health and prevention. This is evidenced by their work with communities to address the growing obesity problem identified by the most recent Community Health Assessment. They also provide education programs for STD prevention and safe sex behaviors, fall prevention programs to seniors, conduct rabies vaccination clinics, and promote emergency preparedness individual, family and communication plans. The members of this team put their hearts, souls and minds together to serve the residents of Montgomery County.
