Linda Garrison, Children with Special Health Care Needs Coordinator

Linda retired from the County in July of 2015 but prior had been working with the health department for the past 7 years as the Children with Special Health Care Needs Coordinator. In this position, she oversaw the Department’s largest fiscal programs including the preschool and early intervention programs. In her supervisory role, Linda attended preschool committee meetings where she worked to help develop and monitor children’s educational plans. Linda also oversaw the County’s transportation contract and worked diligently to make sure all Orleans County kids were transported safely to and from their schools. Always flexible and committed to meeting the needs of the programs she served, in mid-2014, Linda rose to the occasion by taking on an active case load of early intervention children in addition to her regular duties. Linda had a passion for these kids and the programs that serve them. Although there are some challenging situations, Linda always represented herself and the department with the utmost professionalism.
