Sigrid Connors, Director of Patient Service, Tompkins County Health Department

Sigrid Connors has been an employee of the Health Department since 1993 when she was hired as a Clinical Nurse. After six months she was promoted to Director of Patient Services, a title she has held for the last 22 years. Ms. Connors has provided leadership to the largest division in the health department and has helped to foster the development of many nurses with long distinguished careers. Ms. Connors is a visionary in the area of community health services. Within the ever evolving public health setting she has been instrumental in the evaluation and advancement of our community health services programs. Ms. Connors is a leader and champion for public health. Her career is a model, both within the health department and the community, for how to achieve excellence in nursing while continuing to grow and evolve to meet the challenges faced in protecting the public's health.
