This page will provide a listing of continuing education programs on the topic of trauma for EMS and healthcare providers. The content of these programs has NOT been reviewed by the NYSDOH Bureau of EMS and the Bureau of EMS is not responsible for the content of these programs.

December 2012

  • December 1 & 2: New Trends, Treatments, and Resources for Trauma Patients, Nyack Hospital (PDF, 144KB)
  • December 11 : Trauma Outcomes & Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC), Albany Medical Center, Albany, 7:30-4:30 p.m. Registration will be $275. A block of rooms has been set up at the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Medical Center. The block and rate of $104/night will remain reserved until 11/19 at which time any unused rooms will be released and the room rate will increase. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-560-7843.

  • November 14: Advanced Burn Life Support Course, Stony Brook University Hospital.
  • November 15 : Trauma Outcomes & Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC), St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, 7:30-4:30 p.m. Cost for attending the training will be $275 which will include breakfast, lunch and all breaks. A block of rooms has been set up at the Poughkeepsie Courtyard by Marriott. The block and rate of $117/night will remain reserved until 10/18/12 at which time any unused rooms will be released and the room rate will increase.
