ATS Trauma Registry Course - Syracuse, NY

Since 1987 the American Trauma Society has been the leader in Trauma Registry education around the country. Beginning with a primer for professionals new to the area of trauma data collection, the ATS' Trauma Registry Course (TRC) has expanded to provide a deeper look into the issues that affect a trauma registrar. The TRC provides a more standardized understanding of the specialty and approach to the task of maintaining a trauma register for the seasoned registrar. Lectures are designed to build upon experience, program maturity, and institutional needs. In this manner the TRC is designed and appropriate for trauma registrars / data managers of all levels of experience. The TRC provides the student with national standard definitions, and methodologies essential to a comprehensive trauma registry. The TRC has been recognized by the American College of Surgeons in the Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient since 1999 as an avenue for comprehensive trauma registry training.

Founded in 1957, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM) is a professional multidisciplinary organization dedicated to limiting injuries from motor vehicle crashes. The Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) incorporates current medical terminology providing an internationally accepted tool for ranking injury severity. This two-day course is designed for trauma nurses/coordinators, registrars, physicians, hospital records personnel and researchers or engineers who are responsible for injury data bases.

ATS Trauma Program Manager Course - New York, NY

The Trauma Program Manager Course Emphasizes key components of a Trauma Program. Taught by expert Trauma Program Managers, it is recognized throughout the trauma community as the premier course for learning the role and importance of the Trauma Program Manger as well as the role of other essential members of a trauma program.
