Home Health Aide Training Programs - Corrections
This NOTICE is being issued to advise operators of home health aide training programs (HHATP) that both the revised HHATP application, as well as, corrected versions of the curriculum and all supporting documents are now available. The corrections are a result of input from the provider community since the revised documents were originally posted in April 2006.
All existing approved HHATP will be required to complete and submit Appendix A and B of the revised application six weeks prior to the end of the three-year approval period of their individual programs.
Corrected documents have replaced the originals of the revised HHATP curriculum and supporting documents, that is, the Home Care Curriculum, the Home Care Curriculum Evaluations, the Health Related Tasks Curriculum and the Health Related Tasks Curriculum Evaluations. In addition, there are corrections to the Home Health Aide Scope of Tasks, which contains the Guide to Home Health Aide Training and Competency and the Matrix of Permissible and Non-Permissible Tasks of the Home Health Aide.
The document named "HHATP Curriculum Corrections" contains the corrections and time changes made to the April 2006 HHATP documents. The corrected material must be incorporated into programs as soon as possible. The entire document may be reprinted; however, the individual corrected pages can be printed and used to replace the original pages, which can then be discarded.
