New York State Health Care Reform Act (HCRA)

As noted in correspondence previously sent to payors and third party administrators, recently enacted amendments to the New York Health Care Reform Act (HCRA) of 2000 require all electing payors who file Public Goods Pool reports and associated payments on a monthly basis and all electing third party administrators to file reports electronically for reporting periods July 2004 and subsequent.
To facilitate this process, a website has been established at www.hcrapools.org. To file electronically you must first establish an electronic filing account with the Office of Pool Administration and be assigned a secure password. It is highly recommended that you establish your account well in advance of the mandatory electronic filing due date.
It should be noted that once electronic filing becomes mandatory, hard copy reports will no longer be accepted.
