The code, assigned by SPARCS, which identifies the transaction type of the record. This code is used in maintaining the SPARCS Master File. It is a conversion of the third digit of the Type of Bill (Data Element 36).

    "2" = Add (Type of Bill third position code "1")

    "3" = Correction (Type of Bill third position code "7")
