Financial Incentives and Sustainability
The New York eHealth Collaborative, in partnership with New York State Department of Health, is overseeing the Statewide Collaboration Process (SCP) as part of the HEAL 5 grant program, through which common policies, standards, and technical approaches for New York's health information infrastructure will be developed.
As part of the SCP, the Financial Sustainability & Incentives work group, in partnership with the Business Council of New York, is conducting a detailed analysis and drafting a business plan for advancing New York's health information infrastructure beyond the current HEAL NY Phase 5 initiative. The business plan will provide key financial action items for interoperable health IT in New York.
The Department of Health is working on various reimbursement initiatives and financing mechanisms to support New York's health information infrastructure.
