New York State HIV Advisory Body

The New York State HIV Advisory Body (HAB) will meet on April 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. and on April 2, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at:

Albany, New York.

The HAB is a new advisory body to the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute.  It is constituted to serve as a forum to draw from the expertise and experiences of consumers, providers and community members to provide advice on service needs, affected populations and emerging issues related to HIV prevention, health care and supportive services throughout New York State.  The HAB will serve to identify and address prevention and health care needs and gaps of HIV infected/affected populations with an emphasis on linkage, retention and viral suppression. 

Advisory Body members represent all geographical areas of the State, and all walks of life.  They include HIV-infected individuals, others who have been or may be affected by the epidemic, as well as HIV/AIDS service providers, technical experts, and representatives of government agencies.
