|Minimum Qualifications||Five (5) years professional experience in Information Technology. At least three (3) years professional experience in assisting with design, development, implementation of production-level servers. At least three (3) years professional experience assisting with or conducting planning, developing, testing, and implementing of production-level servers. At least three (3) years experience in monitoring performance measurements and conducting performance tuning for production-level servers. Experience assisting with prioritizing goals, implementing programs, and allocating resources.|
|Preferred Qualifications||Five (5) years professional experience in Information Technology managing a team with responsibility for systems analysis and application development activities operating with a great deal of independence. Demonstrated ability to develop and understand complex oral and written instructions and to read and understand technical literature.|
|Responsibilities||The incumbent of this position will report directly to the Manager of Technical Architecture and will serve as the Technical Architect. The individual will have responsibility for the technical operational aspects of the NY-HX. This includes all hardware, software and technical infrastructure in support of the design, development and implementation of the NY-HX. The individual may also oversee the activities of the NY-HX Technical Architecture team at G-18 and below. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Oversee change control over the NY-HX configuration; Oversee the system performance tuning, improvements and balancing; Execute plans, construct and implement the technical aspects of the NY-HX; Define and implement the technical system environment to assure it meets the information processing needs of the NY-HX. This includes all the hardware, software and infrastructure components required to support the design, development and implementation of the Exchange; Assist with the acquisition, installation and operation of hardware and software; Act as technical contact with contractors in the absence of the Manager of Technical Architecture; Insure that the various functional components are properly integrated both within the Exchange environment, as well as with all necessary external organizations.|
