Free Water Testing For Private Homeowner Wells Impacted by Flooding in Herkimer and Hamilton Counties

The New York State Department of Health is offering free water testing for homeowner wells that have been impacted by the October 31st storm. This free program will be available until December 31st 2019.

If your well was impacted by the storm, follow these steps:

1. Assess your well and determine if any repairs are required. If repairs are needed, contact a qualified professional, registered well driller, or pump contractor to evaluate and service it.
