Bronx New School - PS 51X

The New York State Department of Health, in partnership with the federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, has completed a health consultation for the former Bronx New School (PS 51X) building at 3200 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, New York. The health consultation is based on the results of air samples collected at the former PS 51X building during 2011 by the New York City Department of Education and the New York City School Construction Authority. In the health consultation, the Department of Health compares the levels of trichloroethene in indoor air discovered at the school in 2011 to levels considered a concern for health.

Health Consultation

The Public Comment Draft Health Consultation was released in June 2013. The Department of Health considered public comments and finalized the Health Consultation in May 2015.
