April 1, 2010 Health Plan Letter

April 1, 2010

Dear Health Plans:

The purpose of this letter is to provide Health Plans with the revised inpatient reform rates effective December 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 and the initial rates for the period January 1, 2010 through March 31, 2010.

The rates for the period December 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 reflect some minor technical corrections to some of the components of particular facilities rates, but does not change the statewide base price for all hospitals.

The rates for the period January 1, 2010 through March 31, 2010 reflect those same technical corrections as noted above but also reflect the inclusion of 2010 budgeted capital in accordance with Subdivision 8 of Article 2807-c of the Public Health Law.

The schedules of rates for each period are presented in the same format and details as was contained in the schedules accompanying our December 23, 2009 letter and posted to the Department of Healths web page. Please refer to that letter for detailed explanation of each column and its use.

Should you have any questions regarding these schedules, please do not hesitate to contact me at (518) 474-3267.

Sincerely,

John W. Gahan Jr.
