Single Source Procurement: Obesity Prevention Program

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The New York State Department of Health has made a determination to add an additional $35,000 annually to each of the nine competitively selected (see attached list) Obesity Prevention in Pediatric Health Care Settings contract(s) C027426 - C027434. Obesity Prevention in Pediatric Health Care Settings contractors will be offered an additional $35,000 of funding annually (total of $315,000) for the remaining length of the contract SFY 2013-2016 (total of $1,102,500) to meet monthly reporting requirements to implement guideline concordant care in pediatric primary care practices and health care provider organizations.

Contracts will end on 9/30/16. In advance of the 9/30/16 end date, the Department of Health will assess and consider a competitive reprocurement for these services based on the contractors' ability to make progress in achieving goals in the standardized reporting measures.
