Media Advisory: Sheehan Health Network

ALBANY, N.Y (June 18, 2012) – The New York State Department of Health (DOH) will hold a public forum to solicit public comments about health care services in the Buffalo community regarding the closure of Sheehan Health Network (Hospital).

The meeting will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, David C. Hohn Lecture Hall, Research Studies Center, Elm and Carlton Streets, Buffalo, N.Y. 14263.

In order to ensure the forum runs smoothly and all attendees are given the opportunity to speak, the following guidelines have been developed:

  • There will be sign-in sheet for all attendees.
  • Anyone who would like to speak will be assigned a number. Numbers will be called in order and each speaker will have five minutes to address the forum. If time permits, individuals will be given a second opportunity to speak for five minutes.
  • Written comments will be accepted.

Public comments will not be addressed during the meeting; however, the DOH will issue a report within 60 days following the forum that addresses public comments received.
