Disease Intervention Specialist

Job Description

The work involves making investigations on patients and potential suspects in the field of sexually transmitted disease. The incumbent assists with control measures by making investigations, conducting interviews with sexually transmitted disease patients and suspects, and preparing reports of findings. The work includes frequent contact with patients and suspected carriers.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of 60 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university and two years of experience in a public contact position which included interviewing, instruction, investigating and/or counseling.
