Robert M. Golden is a Physician Assistant who has been employed with the Suffolk County Medical Examiner since 1983. In 1989, he earned his Master's Degree in Public Health Administration and currently serves as supervisor of the Medical Forensic Investigation Unit.

Mr. Golden has consistently demonstrated a caring and empathetic manner while providing information to decedents' families regarding the cause of death. These situations often provide a forum for him to educate families on healthier lifestyles and disease prevention. He has also used his experience in medical forensics to lecture for schools and organizations about the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse.

Mr. Golden has twice assisted in prosecuting serial murders who were preying upon vulnerable patients. He has made significant contributions to public-health planning for natural and man-made disasters, both at the county and national levels. Moreover, Mr. Golden is truly an asset to our county's health services department.
