  • 25 years of service

Peter Tripi, a previous NAACHO Model Practice winner, supervises the Rabies & Vector Control Programs, as well as the Public Health Nuisance and Daycare Center inspection programs.

As a Senior Public Health Sanitarian, Peter worked closely with the NYS OCFS to develop materials, such as the current sanitizer guidelines, that are used to provide guidance statewide to protect our children from the spread of disease.

Peter was instrumental in the design and implementation of Operation Clean Sweep – Go Clean Initiative which creates partnerships with local municipalities to improve Community Sanitation. To date, eight municipalities have established garbage tote programs and/or enacted local garbage storage laws fighting the spread of rats.

Peter, a long time baseball and softball coach, always takes a team approach to any programmatic or community effort. He teaches his players that while one person can make an impact, greater things can happen with a team surrounding them.
