Mary Huczel, RN, BSN, Supervising Public Health Nurse

Mary Huczel has worked with the Niagara County Department of Health since 1992. She was promoted to a SPHN in 1997. She currently supervises the STD program and the TB program. Through her extraordinary dedication and integrity, and in working with our highly skilled nursing staff, these programs are providing critical disease control and education to those we serve.

Additionally she is very active in the Niagara County community serving on many advisory groups promoting public health efforts. She is engaged with the following: The Western New York HIV/STD/Viral Hepatitis Training Consortium; Healthy Moms, Health Babies; Western New York Perinatal Forum; Child Fatality and Serious Injury and Review Team; Niagara County AIDS Task Force; ANAC Nursing in AIDS Care; and Circle of Life.

Through collaboration with others, Mary is dedicated to address causes of health disparities and is committed to improve the health of Niagara County residents.
