The Oneida County Health Department Clinical Services Division, also known as the Diagnostic and Treatment Clinic, has consistently provided quality services to the people of Oneida County through many challenges. When concerns about Ebola came to Oneida County, and the city of Utica, the Clinical Services Division was at the forefront. Staff brought expertise to stakeholder meetings to help develop procedures to protect the safety of the community, EMS personnel, and health care providers, while providing quality care and maintaining patient confidentiality for Ebola suspects. Staff answered phone calls, participated in planning and evaluating Ebola Emergency Preparedness Exercises at area Emergency Rooms and Article 28 Clinics, and worked with the community to provide accurate, real time information to address community concerns. In addition, they introduced their first Electronic Medical Records system, have met new requirements for the childhood immunization schedule, and their Chronic Disease and STD programs have exceeded goals and received performance incentive awards for 2014, 2015 and 2016.
