Andrea Whitmarsh, MPH, Essex County Senior Health Educator and Public Information Officer, is our Quality Improvement and Performance Management Chairperson and Public Health Accreditation Coordinator. She introduced staff to an electronic Performance Management platform and keeps close tabs on project progress. Andrea worked tirelessly with our staff and the NYS Health Department to ensure complete documentation preparation and submission to the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). She exemplifies professional policy, systems and environmental approaches in completion of strategies outlined in our Essex County Strategic Plan and Community Health Improvement and Services Plan. Andrea created a successful Request for Proposal for the NYS Health Foundation "Bridging the Gap" grant, which provided a coordinated response to the opioid epidemic in the North Country. The NYS Health Foundation was impressed with her work and subsequently asked her to sit on their grant review board.
