Jonathan served 7 years as a sanitarian and 2 years as a supervising sanitarian before becoming Chemung County's environmental health director in January of 2019. Jonathan employs his years of experience, passion for environmental health work, and leadership skills to lead a department that continues to undergo great changes. The retirement of his long serving predecessor, numerous staffing changes, and new regulatory requirements have created numerous challenges. Jonathan's leadership skills have been instrumental as he has played a crucial role in Chemung County's response to a legionella outbreak in 2019.
