Dr. Phillip Gioia shares his knowledge with the Health Department and the Environmental Health, Home Care and Community Health staff. He offers sound consultation on public health threats and actively participates in preparedness planning and drills. Dr. Gioia values prevention as a means to improve the public's health. His prevention message is interwoven in all he does; in his private pediatric practice, his guidance within the health department, and in his personal life. Dr. Gioia is currently working with local, state and nationwide organizations on the establishment of an interoperable health information system to enable individuals to have personal health information available to themselves and to their health providers whereever they may travel.
