DEA National Take Back Day

Any Class 3A Institutional Dispenser, Limited licensed facility intent on participating in the April 28, 2018, DEA Take-Back Event must complete and submit to the applicable Department of Health Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (BNE) regional office the following two disposal/destruction forms:

To participate in the DEA Take-Back Event, THESE TWO COMPLETED FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE APPROPRIATE BNE REGIONAL OFFICE ON OR BEFORE Thursday, March 15, 2018.

BNE will provide the DEA with a list of those Class 3A Institutional Dispenser, Limited facilities regionally approved to participate in the DEA Take Back Event. Prior to the date of the DEA Take Back Event, the DEA will contact only those facilities on the BNE list of approved facilities.

BNE approval to participate in the DEA Take-Back Event is limited to DEA pick-up at the Class 3A Institutional Dispenser, Limited licensed address. Licensees may not transport/drop-off controlled substances for disposal/destruction.

The DEA has stated that liquid formulations will not be accepted for disposal/destruction.
