SUBJECT: 2011 Long Term Home Health Care Program
Maximum Allowable Monthly Expenditure Cap
Dear Administrator:
The 2011 Long Term Home Health Care Program (LTHHCP) participant maximum allowable monthly expenditure cap for each county and New York City was recently issued to local departments of social services (LDSS) per General Information Message (GIS) 11 OLTC/ 009. The caps are effective immediately and must be used for all subsequent LTHHCP participant assessments and reassessments.
LTHHCP expenditure caps are calculated in accordance with 10 NYCRR Part 86-5.10. Expenditure caps are based on the January 1, 1992 average Medicaid reimbursement rates for nursing facilities in a county trended forward to the current year.
