Population Estimates Used for This Edition

• All cancer rates calculated for this report are based on population estimates referred to as "Vintage 2009". The Vintage population estimates are projected from the 2000 census. New population estimates that will incorporate information from the 2010 census are expected to be released this summer. Once these estimates become available, we will replace our current report, since we would like to incorporate the most recent population information. New population estimates might result in changes to the calculated rates.
